Government of New Brunswick

Do you have the skills, qualifications, and work experience to fill a high-demand occupation in New Brunswick? The NB Express Entry Stream of the NB Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) connects to the federal Express Entry system and will increase your chance of being issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

To be eligible for nomination through the NB Express Entry Stream, you must:

** Please note you cannot have an application to the NB Express Entry Stream without a valid Federal Express Entry Profile.

To be eligible to apply to the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream, you must first meet one of the three connections below:

  1. NB Employment Connection
  2. NB Student Connection
  3. NB Occupations in Demand Connection

Each connection has specific instructions on how to apply. Please follow the instructions carefully. If you do not, we may not receive your EOI.

If you received a LOI (Letter of Interest) from the province of New Brunswick in your Federal Express Entry Profile , please email [email protected] with the required information found in the NB Occupations in Demand Connection link above.

Please note that NOC restrictions that were put in place for the NB Employment Connection in February 2023 have been lifted. All NOCs in TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3 are now permitted.

Complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the province through the INB Portal.

Each month, Immigration NB invites candidates by selecting from the pool of eligible EOIs and issuing ITAs to those selected.

Invitations – August 2023

If you receive an ITA, you have 45 days to submit a complete application. If your application is approved, you will be nominated by the province. You will have 30 days to accept the nomination in your Federal Express Entry account.

Submitting an application and meeting the eligibility requirements for the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream does NOT guarantee a nomination.

Important: GNB reserves the right to change criteria and/or pause streams. Check the NB immigration website regularly to stay up to date with all changes.
